چکیده
Abstract Large-scale research infrastructures (RIs), such as MAX IV and European Spallation Source in Lund, Sweden, are considered critical for advancing science addressing social challenges. These facilities central to research, innovation, education; playing a key role developing disseminating knowledge technology. In this study, we develop conceptual framework of ecosystem large-scale RIs. The study is explorative, with primary data from 13 interviews informants different stakeholders academia, industry, policy. Secondary were obtained reports national agencies that operate industrial regional governmental reports, internal newsletters, information the facilities’ websites. We find policy, together four themes, have an effect on value proposition these facilities, geographical distances (nodes), catalysts, platforms, hubs. Therefore, they will affect structure design ecosystem. Our explains design.

Comparative analysis of European wide marine ecosystem shifts: a large-scale approach for developing the basis for ecosystem-based management.
Abrupt and rapid ecosystem shifts (where major reorganizations of food-web and community structures occur), commonly termed regime shifts, are changes between contrasting and persisting states of ecosystem structure and function. These shifts have been increasingly reported for exploited marine ecosystems around the world from the North Pacific to the North Atlantic. Understanding the drivers a...
متن کاملInformation Futureproofing for Large-scale Infrastructure
There are challenges of maintaining, refurbishing and modernising infrastructure assets under limited investments available for such purposes. Potential technological and operational challenges exist as a barrier to long-term information retention, which also plays a crucial role, amongst other factors, to futureproof major infrastructure. These issues appear to be trivial for short-term data m...
متن کاملA Practical Desalinization Model for Large Scale Application
Salinity of soil and water is the most important agricultural hazard in arid and semi-aridregions. In saline soils, yield production directly influences by soluble salts in the root zone aswell as by shallow water table depth. The first step for reclamation of such soils is reducingsalinity to optimum level by leaching. The objective of this study was to develop a practicalmodel to estimate wat...
متن کاملA partition-based algorithm for clustering large-scale software systems
Clustering techniques are used to extract the structure of software for understanding, maintaining, and refactoring. In the literature, most of the proposed approaches for software clustering are divided into hierarchical algorithms and search-based techniques. In the former, clustering is a process of merging (splitting) similar (non-similar) clusters. These techniques suffered from the drawba...
